Thank you for visiting our website! This site is designed to give landlords and property managers access to information and resources that directly affect our industry and local market. One purpose of the CILA, among many others, is to give landlords a unified voice to express their concerns and get law-makers and local officials to respect our positions on issues that are important to us.
Inside, members will find: the very first (and perhaps the only) Landlord Forum (on-line bulletin board) in Central Illinois; changes in City/State codes and policies that could affect our bottom lines; local businesses that are tied directly to our rental market and are willing to offer discounts and support to our members; links to websites and other information pertinent to our industry; as well as meeting minutes, current events and much more! Members will also gain access to Real Estate Professionals, Property Managers, Bankers, Attorneys and CPA's (most of whom sit on our Board of Directors). Additionally, we will be launching several new programs to stream-line how business is done in our local market!
The CILA holds quarterly meetings for all of our members to attend. Our board members have open forums at these meetings to allow you to voice your opinions, thoughts, comments and questions regarding the direction that you would like for this association to go. This gives all of us the opportunity to be heard by law-makers and local officials as a large, organized body of high-tax-paying registered voters!
Have you grown tired of local governments, advertising mediums and utility companies attempting to push you around because they assume that you have deep pockets? Do you feel that they see you as an un-tapped source of revenue that they now wish to exploit? It's time for a change! We have rolled up our sleeves to fight for the rights of local landlords! This is a not-for-profit association. Whether you own one single-family unit or one-hundred multi-family units, your voice is the same here!
We also intend to work closely with the Champaign/Urbana and Greater Peoria area associations.
